Kapuso actor Alden Richards recently opened up about his frustration with ongoing rumors concerning his gender identity. During an interview with Toni Gonzaga, Richards expressed his indifference to these speculations, stating, “Tingin n’yo ganun? Fine! Tingin n’yo bading, fine. Tingin ko nga minsan ‘pag may ganu’ng mga rumor, wala na bang iba?”
Richards, who just celebrated his 32nd birthday on January 2, emphasized his focus on his career and personal happiness rather than dwelling on public judgments about his gender. “I have my life right now. I’m happy perfectly with what I have, what I’m able to do at the moment. I seize every opportunity,” he remarked.
In a positive turn, Richards also shared his joy in forming new friendships within the industry, particularly with Julia Montes, director Irene Villamor, and Coco Martin. He expressed surprise and gratitude for how quickly they bonded during a recent project. “To the people who know me, like really know me, my friends, and right now, most especially ‘yan si Julia, Julia Montes, direk Irene (Villamor), and si Coco… they became part of my life, and I became part of their lives,” Richards shared. He cherishes these authentic relationships, considering them a significant part of his life.
