The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) has commended the integrity of one of their employees, Joshua Bustamante, who returned a bag containing a substantial amount of money found at Laguindingan Airport in Misamis Oriental.
While cleaning the airport on Monday morning, Bustamante, an airport facility cleaner, discovered a bag left on a push cart. He immediately reported the find to airport management to locate the bag’s owner.
Within an hour and a half, the bag, containing P50,000 and other personal items, was returned to the grateful passenger, who had traveled from Manila and was heading to Lanao.
Area Center 10 Manager Engr. Job De Jesus praised Bustamante’s actions, saying, “His actions exemplify the highest standards of honesty and service we uphold. Mr. Bustamante’s dedication and values inspire all airport employees, reminding us of the goodness and integrity present in our busy environment. We laud him for his honesty and swift action.”
