AirAsia Philippines announced on Monday its plans to recruit cabin crew to cater to the anticipated surge in air travel in the coming year.
Those interested in joining the airline’s final recruitment round for this year can head to the MIAA Function Hall on the 3rd Floor of NAIA Terminal 3 this Wednesday, 11 October. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to serve on AirAsia’s expanding network, which includes 14 domestic and 13 international routes operating from hubs in Manila and Cebu. The airline also revealed plans to reopen its Clark and Kalibo hubs soon.
In addition to flight attendants, AirAsia Philippines is hiring Guest Service (GSA) and Ramp agents. These new hires will complement an expected 600 new staff members who will be onboarded in 2024. This recruitment drive supports the airline’s plans to introduce more aircraft and reactivate hubs and other destinations previously impacted by the pandemic.
CEO Ricky Isla shared the company’s optimism about the future. “Our additional manpower will accommodate the projected growth in our fleet next year. We’re witnessing a sustained momentum in forward bookings, with numbers that have surpassed our 2019 figures,” he said.
Furthermore, the airline’s parent company, Capital A, has secured a five-year term loan of up to $150 million. The funds will be allocated for aircraft and engine maintenance, along with other essential capital requirements.
