Starting in October, Air Arabia, the low-cost carrier based in Sharjah, will commence daily non-stop flights between Sharjah International Airport and Velana International Airport in the Maldives. This new route aims to provide travelers with more convenient and affordable options to visit the popular Indian Ocean destination.
Adel Al Ali, Group CEO of Air Arabia, emphasized the airline’s dedication to expanding travel options for its customers. “The launch of our non-stop flights to the Maldives highlights our commitment to offering our customers more travel options and connecting them to some of the world’s most breathtaking locations,” Al Ali said. He also noted that this new addition to their route network from Sharjah underscores Air Arabia’s commitment to providing seamless connectivity and value-driven air travel.
The airline operates a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. Just two weeks ago, Air Arabia also announced the launch of a new route connecting Sharjah and Vienna, Austria. This service, beginning on December 20, will operate four non-stop weekly flights, catering to winter holiday travelers.
