After viral scandal, Anthony Jennings’ ex embraces healing and personal growth

Jam Villanueva, who made headlines after exposing her ex-boyfriend Anthony Jennings’ alleged infidelity with actress Maris Racal, has resurfaced with a renewed focus on self-growth. Despite the controversy, both Jennings and Racal have since apologized.

Villanueva made her first public appearance at the launch of Ampong Dental Essentials, which she now endorses. Speaking about her journey, she emphasized the importance of self-worth and resilience.

“My self-worth is non-negotiable. Never lose yourself in the process of whatever is happening in your life. You have to know yourself, your values, and your principles,” she was quote as saying by ABS-CBN News.

She also highlighted the significance of surrounding herself with a strong support system. “As much as possible, I choose people who truly support me, those who will guide me in the right direction and tell me if I’m doing something wrong,” she added.

Following the viral controversy, Villanueva focused on self-care, seeking therapy, and finding comfort in her hobbies and family. “I try to enjoy life through my hobbies and spending time with my sibling. There are only two of us, and we just enjoy our life in the province of Laguna. I also surround myself with the right people who bring me happiness and peace,” she told ABS-CBN News.

Villanueva admitted that therapy helped her cope with the ordeal. “I went through therapy for a few months, and that really helped. I also have a heart condition since I was six years old,” she revealed.

When asked why she chose to go public with her story, Villanueva said she felt she had no other choice. “I was pushed to do it because so much was happening. I’m just a normal person. I had no one to defend me. It’s hard to be constantly judged by people,” she explained.

She also disclosed that she had received death threats online. “I sometimes read the comments. What made me snap was when they involved my family. It’s just me and my sibling, and they dragged my sibling into it. Even my late parents were not spared. That’s the kind of disrespect I couldn’t take. I even received death threats. The hardest part was people saying I was a disgrace to my parents,” she confided.

Despite the challenges, Villanueva is determined to move forward, choosing self-improvement over resentment. “Moving on is not just about forgetting the past. It’s about choosing yourself in the present and rebuilding yourself despite everything that happened,” she said.

As for reconnecting with those involved in the controversy, she made it clear that she has completely moved on. “I have no connection with anyone involved. My plan is to focus on myself and build my career. Forgiveness isn’t an easy process, but I’m getting there. Even God forgives,” she reflected.

When asked if she plans to enter show business, Villanueva dismissed the idea, saying, “Definitely not in my mind. I would rather be the voice for those who have gone through a similar situation.”

She expressed gratitude to Ampong Dental Essentials for trusting her as their newest endorser. “This is my first endorsement, and I’m very grateful. I started from nowhere. I believe in brands that align with my values. A smile is powerful—it’s not just about appearance but about feeling strong within yourself,” she said.

Villanueva remains focused on her personal growth and embracing new opportunities on her own terms. “Since December, there have been opportunities coming in, but I didn’t entertain them because I didn’t want it to seem like I was using the issue for opportunities. Now, I’ve thought things through. It’s shocking that my first endorsement even has a billboard. I’m super grateful,” she concluded.
