Canadian expatriate Robert Burkovski, residing in the UAE, has won Emirates Draw’s EASY6 grand prize, securing a monthly income of Dh25,000 for the next 25 years. The 54-year-old consultant, who moved to the UAE about 18 months ago for business and lifestyle change, earned this substantial prize by playing a set of numbers he often used, occasionally incorporating random selections from his children.
Burkovski, a father of two, expressed his intention to use the money for everyday expenses, such as housing, groceries, and his children’s activities, to make his family’s life more comfortable. He commented, “It will just help with the day-to-day stuff. It will definitely help make things more comfortable.”
The prize, which is a legal obligation for Emirates Draw, marks the second time the grand prize has been awarded in this manner. Burkovski’s journey to victory started with a familiar habit from his days in Canada. “I played similar games back in Canada, so when I found out about Emirates Draw online, I decided to give it a go. I’ve been playing on and off since last year,” he shared.
His win was confirmed via an email notification, leaving him and his wife in disbelief. Despite the win, Burkovski plans to continue participating in the draw. He is the fourth individual to clinch the FAST5 grand prize in less than six months since the game’s inception.
