Additional P7.37 billion released to complete 2025 incentives for public school workers

An extra ₱7.372 billion has been cleared for release to settle the remaining cash requirement for the 2025 Service Recognition Incentive (SRI) of public school teachers and non-teaching personnel, following approval by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Malacañang said the Department of Budget and Management has already downloaded the funds, completing the financing needed to pay the full SRI to eligible recipients across the country.

Palace Press Officer and Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro explained that the allocation was intended to close the funding gap for the incentive program. “Layunin nito na matustusan nang buo ang natitirang cash requirement para sa Fiscal Year 2025 Service Recognition Incentive o SRI ng mga kwalipikadong guro at non-teaching personnel sa buong bansa,” she said during a Palace briefing on Tuesday, Feb. 3.

Castro added that the DBM approved the corresponding Notice of Cash Allocation on Jan. 27, 2026, enabling the release of the additional amount.

The latest release follows the issuance of Administrative Order No. 40 on Dec. 11, which authorized the grant of a one-time Service Recognition Incentive to qualified government employees for fiscal year 2025.
