Actress Loisa Andalio recently opened up about forgiving her longtime boyfriend, Ronnie Alonte, for cheating. In an interview with Push, the 24-year-old actress shared the factors that influenced her decision.
A significant element for Andalio was Alonte’s acknowledgment and transparency about his mistake. “The fact that he admitted his wrongdoings was a big deal. I know people from my past relationships who, even when caught, never owned up,” Andalio commented.
She emphasized the difference in forgiving someone who completely denies their misdeeds versus someone who admits and ensures not to repeat them. Loisa further mentioned that everyone is prone to mistakes. “In reality, there’s no such thing as a perfect person. Even if I were to have a new relationship, it wouldn’t be perfect,” she noted, referencing the adage, “I’d rather have bad times with you, than good times with someone else.”
Loisa also stressed the importance of forgiveness, stating that choosing it brings inner peace. “To be honest, it’s not just about finding it difficult to forgive. Because forgiveness is really for us. When we forgive someone, we find peace within ourselves,” she expressed. “And to be fair, he deserves it.”
This revelation about Alonte’s infidelity first emerged in February when he accepted full responsibility. “Honestly, I admit it was my mistake. Because I didn’t clarify our relationship status to my colleagues and hid it from my partners,” he confessed.
Known affectionately by fans as “LoiNie,” the pair confirmed their romantic involvement in 2018 and are preparing to celebrate their seventh anniversary this coming November.
