The capital city of Abu Dhabi lit up its iconic landmarks and buildings last evening in a display of support and patriotism as astronaut Sultan AlNeyadi returns to his homeland.

A video shared by the Abu Dhabi Media Office captured the breathtaking sight of the Mubadala Tower, the Adnoc building, Khalifa University’s campus entrance, and Marina Mall’s observation tower, all adorned with lights and signs signifying the UAE astronaut’s triumphant “homecoming.”
This isn’t the first time the UAE has celebrated AlNeyadi’s remarkable journey. Bridges and landmarks across the nation had previously illuminated with joy when he safely returned to Earth after his extended stay in space.
