Abu Dhabi waives parking and toll fees on New Year’s Day

Abu Dhabi has declared that surface parking and Musaffah M-18 truck parking lot fees will be waived on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, for the New Year holiday. Parking fees will resume at 8am on Thursday, January 2.

According to a Khaleej Times report, the Darb toll gate system will also be free of charge during the public holiday. Toll fees will return on Thursday, January 2, 2025, during peak hours (7am to 9am and 5pm to 7pm).

Authorities urged motorists to avoid parking in restricted areas and to ensure proper use of designated spaces, particularly by refraining from parking in residential areas from 9pm to 8am.

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) announced that its Customer Happiness Centres will remain closed on January 1, resuming operations on January 2. Services will still be accessible online through the Abu Dhabi Mobility website, Darbi and Darb apps, and the TAMM digital platform. For assistance, residents can contact the Service Support Centre at 800850 or the Taxi Call Centre at 600535353, available 24/7.

Public buses in Abu Dhabi will operate on a weekend and official holiday schedule, with additional regional and intercity trips planned.
