Abu Dhabi supermarket closed for selling live poultry in storeroom

A supermarket in Abu Dhabi’s Musaffah area has been shut down following an administrative closure decision by the Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority.

The closure of “High Quality Foodstuff Trading – One Person Company LLC” was necessitated due to the sale of live poultry alongside preserved food items in a storeroom, posing risks to food safety and public health.

The authority cited violations of Law No. (2) of 2008 concerning food in Abu Dhabi, which led to the supermarket’s license, numbered CN-4660027, being penalized.

The establishment will remain closed until it rectifies the violations, removes the causes of non-compliance, and meets all food safety requirements.
