Abu Dhabi International Airport announced on Monday that its newly constructed Terminal A will commence operations on November 1. In a ceremonial gesture, Etihad Airways is set to operate a special flight on October 31, a day before the terminal officially opens to the public.
The integration of airlines into Terminal A will be executed in three stages spanning two weeks:
- On November 1, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, along with 15 other international carriers, will begin operations from the new terminal.
- Starting November 9, Etihad Airways will ramp up its presence in the terminal with 16 daily flights. By November 14, the airline, accompanied by Air Arabia Abu Dhabi and 10 other carriers, will be fully operational from Terminal A.
- By the end of the two-week transition period, 28 airlines in total are expected to be operating seamlessly from Terminal A.
Travelers are advised to check with their respective airlines for specific flight information during this transitional period.
