Motorists in the capital are being urged to settle traffic violations sooner rather than later, as authorities roll out incentives designed to ease payment and reduce financial strain.
Abu Dhabi Police said drivers can benefit from discounts and flexible payment arrangements by using the Tamm app to clear outstanding penalties. The move forms part of broader efforts to improve service delivery and promote public satisfaction through more proactive systems.
Under the Traffic and Patrols Directorate’s “Pay Early, Gain Surely” campaign, vehicle owners are encouraged to address fines promptly, with options to spread payments over a 12-month period. The program also seeks to inform residents about the practical advantages tied to early settlement, including protection from potential increases in fine amounts.
Authorities confirmed that motorists who pay within 60 days of committing a violation can receive a 35 per cent reduction, except in cases involving serious offenses. A 25 per cent discount applies to payments made after the first 60 days but within one year from the date the fine was issued.
In addition to reduced rates, drivers may arrange interest-free installment plans through participating banks, a measure officials say is intended to help lessen financial pressure while supporting adherence to traffic regulations.
