Abu Dhabi has announced a special gift for its residents and visitors: free parking and toll exemptions in a move to celebrate the New Year. The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) confirmed that parking fees and Darb toll gate charges will be waived on Monday, January 1, 2024, allowing citizens and tourists to enjoy their New Year celebrations without the added concern of parking expenses.
The exemption on Mawaqif surface parking will extend until 7:59 am on Tuesday, January 2, ensuring a hassle-free holiday experience. Additionally, the Mussafah M-18 truck parking lot will also offer free parking throughout the holiday.
While the ITC encourages everyone to take advantage of this offer, they also remind drivers to avoid parking in prohibited areas, to not obstruct traffic, and to refrain from parking in residential zones between 9 pm and 8 am.
To further facilitate holiday travel, the city’s bus services will continue to operate according to the regular weekend and public holiday schedule.
