ABS-CBN and Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBS) have forged a partnership to broadcast Kapamilya programs on the free-to-air Channel 2 ALLTV, in a move that marks a significant return for ABS-CBN to its former home.
The announcement came during a contract signing event at the Brittany Hotel Villar City in Cavite on April 23. ABS-CBN President and CEO Carlo Katigbak expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “We are very excited to bring the ABS-CBN brand of storytelling through the audiences.”
Katigbak highlighted the sentimental significance of TV Patrol’s return to Channel 2, noting that it’s a cherished moment for the network. “It’s sentimental for TV Patrol to return to Channel 2,” he said.
He also urged everyone to move forward, focusing on their shared mission of serving the Filipino people. “[Let us] instead our mission to serve the Filipino, wherever they may be,” Katigbak emphasized.
Since April 15, ALLTV has been airing TV Patrol, the country’s longest-running primetime newscast. Additionally, nostalgic Kapamilya shows under the Jeepney TV brand are set to start airing on May 13.
TV Patrol now airs on ALLTV on weekdays at 6:30 p.m., anchored by the esteemed team of Noli de Castro, Bernadette Sembrano, Karen Davilla, and Henry Omaga Diaz. TV Patrol Weekend airs on Saturdays and Sundays at 5:30 p.m., led by Zen Hernandez and Alvin Elchico.
ABS-CBN reassured viewers that they can still catch their favorite newscasts on other platforms such as A2Z, Kapamilya Channel (cable), ANC, Teleradyo Serbisyo, and DWPM radio, ensuring accessibility to their content across various mediums.
