Abi Marquez, famously known as the “Lumpia Queen,” has earned another nod from the prestigious Webby Awards, securing her second consecutive nomination under the Creators – Food & Drink category.
Fresh off her win in the 2024 Webby People’s Voice Awards, Abi continues to make waves as a standout voice in the digital food scene. Her engaging and innovative food content has played a pivotal role in introducing Filipino dishes to the world, helping global audiences appreciate the depth and flavor of Pinoy cuisine.
This year, she’s going head-to-head with big names in the culinary content space, including Joshua Weissman, Babish (Andrew Rea), and Olivia Tiedemann. Despite the heavyweight competition, Abi’s growing influence and loyal fanbase make her a strong contender once again.
Out of over 13,000 submissions worldwide, only the top 12% make it as nominees—making this recognition a major feat in itself. The Webby Awards, often dubbed the “Oscars of the Internet,” honors digital excellence in creativity and impact.
Abi is in the running for two major titles: the Webby Award, judged by industry experts, and the People’s Voice Award, decided by public vote. Her fans played a huge role in her 2024 win—and now, they have a chance to do it again.
Voting is now open and will close on Thursday, April 17 at 11:59 PM PDT. Supporters can visit webbyawards.com to cast their vote under the Food & Drink category in the Creators section.
Winners will be revealed on April 22, and the awards ceremony is set to take place in New York City on May 12.
Let’s help Abi bring another Webby trophy home and continue putting Filipino food on the global map—one lumpia at a time.
