The National Centre of Meteorology has forecasted fair to partly cloudy weather across the UAE today. However, residents should brace for a significant temperature drop, with mercury plummeting to as low as 4ºC in internal areas.
Light to moderate winds are expected, blowing fresh to strong at times, particularly over the sea, leading to the possibility of blowing dust in some areas. Despite the chill, daytime temperatures could still reach a high of 26ºC in the country, while Abu Dhabi and Dubai are expected to see highs of 24ºC.
Conversely, nighttime temperatures may dip as low as 15ºC in Abu Dhabi, 17ºC in Dubai, and a bone-chilling 4ºC in internal regions. Humidity levels will vary, ranging from 40 to 75 per cent in Abu Dhabi and 40 to 70 per cent in Dubai.
Seafarers should exercise caution as sea conditions are anticipated to be rough to very rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and rough in the Oman Sea.
