Abu Dhabi’s Mussafah is now home to the Millennium Hospital, a pioneering multispecialty facility dedicated to women and childcare. The 50-bed hospital, strategically located in the heart of Shabia 9 and Mohamed Bin Zayed City, was inaugurated by Dr. Aysha Al Khoori, Executive Director of the Healthcare Facilities Sector at the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi. Notable attendees at the opening included Sheikha Alyazia Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan and Dr. V.S. Gopal, founder and managing director of Ahalia Medical Group.
Millennium Hospital stands as Mussafah’s first dedicated facility for women and childcare, addressing the needs of the area’s growing residential community. Dr. V.R. Anil Kumar, the hospital’s Medical Director, emphasized in a Khaleej Times report its commitment to leveraging the latest medical advancements, supported by a seasoned, multilingual medical team proficient in up to 15 languages. This approach ensures a tailored, seamless patient experience, reflecting the diverse, cosmopolitan fabric of the community.
The hospital prides itself on offering an extensive range of subspecialties. Dr. El Sayed Mohammed Ayoub Rakha, a consultant paediatrician, highlighted departments such as a paediatric intensive care unit, cardiology, and more, catering to patients from neonatal to adolescent stages. Dr. Fatima Hashim Ibrahim, a consultant neonatologist, underscored the hospital’s level 3 neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), capable of providing critical care for premature babies from as early as 22 weeks. The NICU, alongside comprehensive services like prenatal care and minimally invasive surgeries, ensures holistic family care.
Additionally, Dr. Gomathi P, a consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology, mentioned the hospital’s initiative to offer premarital counselling, aiming to foster robust family relationships and informed decisions as couples embark on their marital journey.
