Marvel star Pom Klementieff joins MEFCC 2024 lineup in UAE

French actress Pom Klementieff, known for her roles in blockbuster films like Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, is set to dazzle fans at the Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) in Abu Dhabi next month. The event, scheduled from 9th to 11th February 2024 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), is the region’s largest pop culture festival.

Born in Quebec City, Canada, to a Korean mother and French-Russian father, Pom Klementieff began her acting career at the age of 19. She made her Hollywood debut in 2013 with Spike Lee’s Oldboy, in which she underwent intense training for a fight scene with co-star Josh Brolin.

However, it was her portrayal of Mantis in the Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and Thor: Love and Thunder, that catapulted Klementieff to international fame. She is set to reprise her role as Paris in the upcoming Mission: Impossible film in 2025 and will share insights from her creative journey at MEFCC 2024.

Pom Klementieff joins an already star-studded lineup at MEFCC 2024, which includes Harry Potter’s Weasley twins, James and Oliver Phelps; Mexican actor and One Piece star Iñaki Godoy; iconic Star Wars actor Temuera Morrison; and voice actors Frank Welker and Peter Cullen. The event also features renowned comic creators Mark Brooks, Carlo Pagulayan, Stephen Segovia, Steve McNiven, and digital artist Kode Abdo, known as BossLogic.

MEFCC, celebrating its 12-year legacy, promises the ultimate fan experience in Abu Dhabi. The event offers a variety of attractions, including opportunities to meet celebrities, get unique commissions from comic creators, explore the Artist Alley, and engage in gaming challenges. The Main Stage will host celebrity panels, interviews, and fan screenings, while the Festival Plaza will provide live entertainment, music, activities, and delicious food and beverages.

A new addition this year is the Japanese Village, offering traditional experiences such as Yukata tryouts, origami, calligraphy, and live performances. MEFCC is held in strategic partnership with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).
