In the latest survey conducted by Pulse Asia, President Bongbong Marcos and Vice President Sara Duterte have experienced an increase in their approval ratings. President Marcos’ approval rating has risen by 3%, now standing at 68%, a recovery from a previous dip in September when it fell to 65% from an earlier high of 80% in June.
Vice President Duterte’s approval rating also showed a positive trend, increasing by 1% to reach 74%. Pulse Asia highlighted that both the President and the Vice President maintain majority approval scores across various regions and socio-economic classes. The President’s approval ranges from 62% to 74%, while the Vice President’s ranges from 61% to 93%. In terms of socio-economic classes, President Marcos scores between 63% to 69%, and Vice President Duterte between 72% to 79%.
Pulse Asia noted that while the overall performance scores of the country’s leading government officials have remained largely unchanged from September 2023 to December 2023, there were significant movements observed in certain geographic and socio-economic subgroupings.
