A resident of Shabiya Khalifa in Al Ain is appealing to the public for help locating her dog, a Yorkshire terrier named Chapo who disappeared on August 28, 2026.
The dog is male, weighs roughly 7 to 8 kilograms, and is described as medium in size with light brown, gold, and grey coloring. Chapo is microchipped and registered, though he was not wearing a collar or identification tag when he went missing. Distinguishing marks include moles on his belly. He turns six years old on October 3. According to his owner, he tends to be wary of strangers at first but warms up over time.
Chapo was last seen in the vicinity of Shabiya Khalifa, with the search area covering several nearby landmarks including Safa Express behind Ayla Hotel, NMC, Sava, the area near Al Ain Distribution, Altowaiya, old Altouba, and Sharooj.
Owner Manilyn Javier, who lives on 101 Street in Shabiya Khalifa, said the loss has been especially hard as she manages a serious medical condition and ongoing treatment. She explained that she lives alone with three dogs, describing them as her only support system. “I treat them as if my own children and they mean the whole world to me.”

Javier has been searching without pause since the dog vanished, describing sleepless nights and mounting worry that she says have affected both her mind and body. Chapo, she noted, has been part of her life since 2021 and helped her through difficult periods.
