The Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) is offering 3,000 free training slots in the National Capital Region for overseas Filipino workers and their families under its Kaalaman Tungo sa Kabuhayan (K2K) program, according to a post on the agency’s official Facebook page.
Promoted with the theme “Get Trained. Get Certified. Get Connected,” the program provides skills training, industry-recognized certification, and access to job opportunities both in the Philippines and abroad. The DMW is encouraging interested OFWs and family members to register through a QR code included in its announcement.
The initiative is built around three components: trainings in in-demand skills for a global future, national and international certification, and a job fair connecting participants with top employers. The agency framed the offering as a chance for beneficiaries to build new skills and open more opportunities for their future.
K2K is a flagship skills-to-employment reintegration program for returning OFWs. In July 2026, the DMW, Department of Labor and Employment, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration signed a Joint Memorandum Circular institutionalizing the expanded nationwide rollout of the program.
