Two of pop music’s biggest names will bring race week in Abu Dhabi to a close this year, as The Chainsmokers and The Script take the stage at Etihad Live on Sunday, December 6, 2026.
The pairing anchors the closing night of the Yasalam presented by e& entertainment programme, which runs alongside the Formula 1 Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2026. Once the season’s final race has been decided, fans will move from the track to the concert grounds, where the two acts round out four days of racing and live performances.
GRAMMY Award-winning duo The Chainsmokers—Alex Pall and Drew Taggart—arrive with a run of crossover hits that pull from pop, indie, electronic, alternative and rock. Their catalogue includes Don’t Let Me Down, Paris and Something Just Like This, along with Closer, which ranks among the most-streamed tracks in Spotify’s history. The act is known for coupling big, euphoric production with hooks that land immediately.
Sharing the bill are The Script, the multi-platinum band responsible for Hall of Fame, Breakeven and The Man Who Can’t Be Moved. Nearly two decades into a career that has drawn a loyal global fanbase, the group recently released a new album, The User’s Guide To Being Human, and is expected to lean on the emotionally driven songwriting that defines its live shows.
David Powell, Chief Portfolio & Strategy Officer at Ethara Live, framed the closing night as the emotional peak of the week. “There is nothing quite like Sunday at the Yasalam After-Race Concerts. Together, they give fans two completely different live experiences and a brilliant finale to race week in Abu Dhabi,” he said.
The Sunday lineup slots into a wider concert schedule that already features Lewis Capaldi and Zara Larsson on Thursday, December 3, and Imagine Dragons on Saturday, December 5. Organizers say further names will be revealed in the weeks ahead.
