Filipinos overseas sent home $3.04 billion in June, the biggest monthly haul this year

Cash sent home by Filipinos working abroad climbed to $3.04 billion in June 2026, the largest amount recorded in any single month so far this year, based on figures from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).

The June haul topped every other monthly total in the first half of 2026. Even so, the year-on-year increase came in at a modest 1.7 percent, easing from the 2-percent growth logged in May.

Sorted by where the money originated, the United States sent the most, ahead of Singapore in second place and Saudi Arabia in third.

For the January-to-June stretch, remittances added up to $17.1 billion, a 2.4-percent rise from the same period a year earlier.

That six-month pace, however, sits under the central bank’s own expectations. The BSP has lowered its outlook for the full year, now projecting growth of 2.7 percent for 2026.
