UAE Apple users advised to update systems to thwart potential information leaks

The UAE’s Cybersecurity Council (CSC) has strongly recommended Apple users to promptly update their devices to the latest operating system versions. This warning comes in response to a series of significant vulnerabilities identified across Apple’s diverse range of products.

According to the CSC’s alert, disseminated via X, the platform succeeding Twitter, Apple has released “urgent security updates” to counteract these vulnerabilities. These flaws in security could potentially enable hackers to remotely execute commands, acquire elevated privileges, or access sensitive data on compromised devices.

The CSC emphasizes the importance of these updates for all Apple products, ranging from iPhones running iOS to Apple Watches using watchOS, to safeguard against any data breaches.

For user convenience, here is a list of the latest versions that should be installed:

Safari 17.2: Available for macOS Monterey and macOS Ventura users.
