Over 1,000 drones to light up Ras Al Khaimah’s sky in record-breaking New Year’s fireworks show

The Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE is gearing up to create a mesmerizing spectacle this New Year’s Eve. For the fifth consecutive year, the emirate is set to challenge two Guinness World Records with a groundbreaking fireworks display.

This year’s event is expected to be unlike any other, involving over 1,000 drones in an ambitious performance. The showcase, planned to last for eight minutes, will feature an unprecedented “carpet” of aquatic pyrotechnics. Ras Al Khaimah is aiming to set new records for the “Longest straight-line drone display” and the “Longest chain of aquatic floating fireworks”.

The stunning display will unfold along a 4.5-kilometer stretch of beachfront, from Al Marjan Island to Al Hamra Village. This grand event promises to exhibit novel choreography and pioneering techniques, never before attempted in a public spectacle.

This festive celebration is not just about setting records; it marks a period of record-high growth and notable tourism achievements for the emirate. The event is expected to attract over 50,000 spectators, bringing together communities in a grand celebration of innovation and beauty.
