The hit Filipino comedy-drama “Love, Ngo” begins showing in UAE cinemas today, giving Filipino moviegoers across the country the chance to watch one of the most talked-about local films of the year on the big screen.
Directed by Darryl Yap and led by Jerald Napoles, the film is now screening at multiple venues spanning five emirates, according to Viva Films.
In Dubai, the film is showing at Deira City Centre, BurJuman Mall, and Al Ghurair Centre. Abu Dhabi audiences can catch it at Al Wahda Mall, Khalidiyah Mall, and World Trade Centre. In Sharjah, it is screening at Sharjah City Centre and Oasis Mall, while Al Ain Mall carries the film in Al Ain. In Ras Al Khaimah, it is showing at Al Naeem Mall.
“Love, Ngo” opened in Philippine cinemas on June 3, 2026, under Viva Films. It stars Jerald Napoles alongside Candy Pangilinan and Gina Alajar, and marks an expansion of the Ngongo character that Napoles first portrayed in “Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam.”
The story follows Ngongo, a hardworking young man who helps run his mother’s burger stand while living with a cleft palate. He meets Scarlet while volunteering at a foundation supporting individuals with cleft lip and palate conditions, and the two grow close before her family objects to the relationship over his condition and social standing.
The UAE is home to a large Filipino community, and local releases of Philippine films have drawn steady audiences at cinemas in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.
