Filipino educator and academic leader Dr. Christopher E. Macabuhay was honored with the Global Academic Leadership and Governance Award during the Global Excellence Conclave 2026, held on June 28, 2026, at the prestigious Dusit Thani Hotel, Dubai. The award recognizes outstanding individuals who have demonstrated exemplary leadership, excellence in governance, and significant contributions to education on the international stage.
This latest recognition marks Dr. Macabuhay’s second international award in 2026, further affirming his dedication to educational excellence and transformative leadership. Earlier this year, on February 4–5, 2026, he was also recognized during the World Education Summit 2026 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai, where he received an international award for his remarkable contributions to education.
With more than three decades of combined experience in education, management, banking, and finance, Dr. Macabuhay currently serves as the Head of the Business and Humanities Department at American Gulf School in Sharjah, UAE. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to developing future leaders by promoting academic excellence, innovation, ethical leadership, and student-centered learning.
Receiving the Global Academic Leadership and Governance Award is not only a personal milestone but also a reflection of the dedication and resilience of Filipino educators working across the globe.
