Annabelle Rama, the mother of actor Richard Gutierrez, addressed the ongoing rumors regarding her son’s marriage with Sarah Lahbati. For weeks, there has been speculation about the couple’s potential breakup.
Rama confirmed that Richard has been staying at her house for a month and is gradually moving his belongings to Alabang, with plans to relocate fully after Christmas. When pressed about the status of Richard and Sarah’s relationship, Rama remained reticent, saying, “I can’t speak about it yet, but I will tell you — Richard is with me now.”
She also revealed that the couple’s two children are currently with Richard. Addressing speculations about her strained relationship with Lahbati, Rama admitted they haven’t been in communication. “I don’t have time to talk to them,” she said.
In a pointed remark, Rama alluded to the couple’s differing lifestyles: “You see it, don’t you? Richard works tirelessly, while the other squanders money. That’s all I can say.”
Rama empathized with her son’s challenging situation, highlighting his work commitments and the confusion he faces upon returning to Manila amid family troubles. She urged the public to be patient for more details, stating, “Just wait, you will find out eventually. Not now.”
Additionally, Rama disclosed that her family plans a holiday trip to Japan, with all members attending except one. This detail further fuels speculation about the family dynamics and Richard’s current situation.
As of now, neither Gutierrez nor Lahbati has publicly commented on the rumors of their separation or the issues in their relationship.
