Bea Alonzo and Vincent Co reportedly part ways after wedding fails to materialize

Actress Bea Alonzo and businessman Vincent Co have reportedly ended their relationship, weeks after the lavish Spanish wedding they were rumored to be planning quietly fell apart.

PEP.ph, citing multiple sources, reported that the couple had separated for good. The entertainment portal said it first learned of the breakup from one source on May 28, 2026, with two more sources confirming the account on June 9.

The split follows months of speculation that began when the pair’s anticipated wedding — expected on May 14, 2026, in Spain — did not take place. On that day, Alonzo was already in the country with her family while Co remained in the Philippines, where he was reportedly due to attend a business event. A source privy to the plans told Inquirer Entertainment the ceremony was “officially off.”

Disagreement over a prenuptial agreement runs through most accounts of why the wedding collapsed. A source told Inquirer Entertainment that the two had reached a stalemate over the document, with provisions Co’s family viewed as unfair but which Alonzo would not concede. The source declined to make the specific terms public.

Other reports describe additional pressures. Bilyonaryo.com cited a source who claimed the prenup was not the only factor and that resistance from within Alonzo’s own circle contributed to the breakdown. PhilNews, drawing on PEP’s reporting, relayed a claim that Lucio and Susan Co were not in favor of Alonzo as a partner for their only son, the heir to a traditional Filipino-Chinese retail family. Another source in that account said Co had proposed a civil ceremony, which Alonzo declined.

Reports on the couple’s status had conflicted in the weeks prior. In May, Manila Bulletin reported they remained together and were working through their issues privately, citing an insider who said Co was still committed to the relationship. Neither Alonzo nor Co has issued a public statement addressing the rumors.

Spain had figured personally in Alonzo’s life well before the wedding talk. She bought a roughly €500,000 apartment in Madrid in 2022, qualifying her for a Golden Visa and legal residency under the country’s Residency by Investment program. She has said she did not plan to seek Spanish citizenship and would continue living in the Philippines.

It is not the first time Alonzo has called off an engagement reportedly over prenuptial terms. Her earlier engagement to actor Dominic Roque ended after several months amid similar disagreements.
