Winter season officially begins in UAE on December 23, with expectations of fog and rain

The UAE is set to welcome the winter season on December 23, as confirmed by the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). This marks the end of the fall season and the onset of cooler weather across the country.

The NCM forecasts a noticeable decrease in temperatures during December, expecting them to drop by 3 to 6 degrees. The average temperature range is anticipated to be between 17°C and 21°C. The cooler temperatures will be more significantly felt during nighttime, especially in the interior and mountainous regions of the UAE.

In addition to the cooler weather, the NCM predicts an increase in humidity levels in the early morning hours. This rise in humidity is likely to lead to the formation of both light and dense fog. Moreover, the UAE might experience some rainy days, potentially accompanied by thunder, throughout December.
