Radio Television Malacañang highlights Filipino achievements in UAE

Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM) has recently shone a spotlight on three remarkable Filipinos in the UAE, showcasing their success stories amidst the backdrop of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28).

Ms. Myla Bijasa, a Filipina entrepreneur in Dubai for 17 years, has made her mark with ‘Seafood Paluto’, a restaurant born from her relentless drive and dedication. Her philosophy centers around compassion and the importance of relationships in business.

“Success isn’t just about profit, but also about being a positive, diligent, and passionate individual,” she emphasized.

Ms. Malou Prado, who started her journey in Dubai in 2005 as a waiter, cleaner, and helper, is now the President of ‘MPQ Travel and Tourism,’ a travel agency operating across three countries. Her story of progression from a humble beginning to a successful entrepreneur earned her recognition in Go Negosyo’s KABAYAN 2022, inspiring many overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).

“We Filipinos are not just workers; we can excel as entrepreneurs in foreign lands,” Prado stated in the video interview.

Mr. John Paul Faderogao, a Filipino visual artist in Dubai for nine years, gained acclaim for his illustrative art, particularly a commissioned painting of an Emirati boy with UAE leaders.

His artistic contributions to UAE’s cultural landscape earned him a ten-year cultural golden visa, a prestigious recognition for enriching the arts and culture sector.

The Philippine Embassy in the UAE reports nearly 1 million Filipinos contributing to diverse industries in the Arab nation.
