A businessman lost his life following a domestic dispute in Pune’s Wanavdi area.
Nikhil Khanna, 36, succumbed to injuries after his wife, Renuka, 38, punched him during an argument. The couple, who had been in a love marriage for six years, resided in a high-end apartment complex.
The altercation, as reported by the Wanavdi Police, occurred last Friday. The dispute arose from Nikhil’s refusal to take Renuka to Dubai for her birthday, coupled with his failure to present her with lavish gifts on special occasions. Renuka’s discontent was further fueled by Nikhil’s lack of enthusiasm towards celebrating relatives’ birthdays in Delhi.
During the heated argument, Renuka struck Nikhil in the face with such force that it resulted in severe facial injuries, including a broken nose and teeth. Nikhil lost consciousness due to profuse bleeding and eventually passed away.
In response to this incident, the police have apprehended Renuka, charging her under IPC Section 302. She is currently under arrest pending further investigation into the matter.
