A 43-year-old man who had just arrived from Dubai was arrested at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on May 6, 2026, after authorities discovered he was facing an outstanding warrant for alleged violation of the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act, or Republic Act 9262.
Bureau of Immigration personnel flagged the warrant upon the passenger’s arrival at the International Arrival Area, triggering a coordinated response with NAIA Police Station 3 to verify the record and act on it.
The Criminal Investigation Section of the Manila Police District later joined the operation, which concluded with the successful service of the arrest warrant. Bail for the case has been set at PhP72,000.
PBGEN Dionisio B. Bartolome Jr., Director of the PNP Aviation Security Group, underscored the resolve of law enforcement to pursue individuals with pending legal cases. “Patuloy ang mahigpit na koordinasyon ng mga awtoridad upang matiyak na maipapatupad ang batas at mapapanagot ang sinumang may kinahaharap na kaso,” he said.
The suspect remains in the custody of the Criminal Investigation Section, Manila Police District, pending documentation and further legal proceedings.
