Foreigner who skipped restaurant bill and punched airport guard now faces charges at NAIA

Two foreign nationals are facing charges after separate altercations at Ninoy Aquino International Airport, with both cases now under the jurisdiction of the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group.

At Terminal 3, a foreign suspect was taken into custody after what began as a billing dispute at an airport food outlet escalated into physical violence. Lockheed Security Agency personnel, working alongside store staff, flagged the individual to Avsegroup after he refused to settle his bill. When the establishment’s manager and staff approached him, the suspect became combative and struck a security officer multiple times, inflicting injuries. Other airport security personnel moved in to restrain him before he was brought to NAIA Police Station 3 for investigation and documentation.

A separate incident unfolded at Terminal 1 on April 21, 2026, where a 27-year-old American national was apprehended in the departure lobby. Avsegroup said the man, who had been bound for Taipei, was held for what authorities described as “disorderly and scandalous actions.” He is currently in the custody of NAIA Police Station 1 and faces inquest proceedings for an alleged violation of Article 155 of the Revised Penal Code.

Under Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines regulations, Avsegroup holds jurisdiction over cases involving unruly conduct within Philippine airport premises.
