After an extended pause that left Season 30 without a confirmed return date, Global Village announced it will reopen its gates on Monday, April 20, at 5pm, with daily operating hours running from 5pm to midnight.
The announcement came Saturday afternoon, April 18, when the attraction’s official Instagram account posted the confirmation shortly after 5pm.
“We’ve missed you too! Global Village is back! We can’t wait to welcome you again starting from Monday 20 at 5pm,” the post read.
The closure had been put in place as a precautionary measure amid a review of regional conditions, with other outdoor attractions in the area similarly suspending operations during the same period. No reopening date had been committed to when the shutdown was first imposed.
Throughout the closure, management directed the public to its verified platforms for updates, having previously issued a statement asking for patience from its audience.
“We truly appreciate your enthusiasm and excitement for Global Village’s reopening. Please stay tuned to our official channels for the latest updates and announcements. Thank you for your continued support,” the earlier statement read.
Visitor interest held steady despite the uncertainty, particularly given that Season 30 is still within its typical run through May.
The destination, which is part of Dubai Holding Entertainment, has drawn more than 100 million guests since opening in 1997, including a record 10.5 million during Season 29. Season 30 spans 30 cultural pavilions covering more than 90 countries, over 3,500 retail outlets, upward of 250 dining options, hundreds of live performances, and more than 200 rides and games at Carnaval.
