Etihad Airways is giving passengers more room to adjust their travel plans, rolling out a no-fee change policy that covers tickets issued from March 6, 2026 through to the end of March 2027.
Under the updated policy, each ticket holder is entitled to one complimentary booking change — a move the UAE’s national carrier is framing as added flexibility for travelers navigating uncertain schedules.
The waiver, however, has limits. Passengers who miss their flights without prior notice will still face no-show charges, and those seeking a full refund remain subject to standard cancellation fees. Travelers switching to a higher-demand date should also expect to pay the difference, as Etihad uses dynamic pricing that reflects peak-period demand.
The policy update comes as the airline pushes forward with an active expansion drive. Etihad launched two new routes in March 2026 — one to Charlotte and another to Kabul — with further additions in the pipeline for the rest of the year.
