Shreeju, an Indian technician based in Fujairah, UAE, has won a staggering Dh20 million in the Mahzooz draw. Despite the massive windfall, he has expressed his intention to continue working in his current role as a control room technician at an oil and gas firm.
Shreeju, who has been participating in the draw for the last three years, often chose numbers at random. “I do not have any specific numbers in mind. This time, I selected four numbers as the previous draw and just changed two numbers,” he shared.
The Indian expat, who has been a UAE resident for 11 years, always dreamt of owning a house. With his newfound wealth, he plans to build a substantial bungalow, a plan that earlier seemed feasible only through a bank loan.
The reality of winning such a large sum has yet to sink in for Shreeju and his wife. “I am still in disbelief,” he admitted, recalling how he initially mistook the notification for a smaller win, akin to his previous experiences of matching one or three digits.
