Select international routes out of Hamad International Airport will resume Thursday after Qatar’s Civil Aviation Authority granted temporary operating authorisation to Qatar Airways, allowing a limited number of flights amid ongoing regional instability.
The carrier confirmed 29 scheduled movements for March 12, covering destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Americas. Departures from Doha include flights to London Heathrow, New York JFK, Madrid, Frankfurt, Manila, Delhi, and Jakarta, among others. Arriving into Doha on the same date are flights from Dallas/Fort Worth, Paris CDG, Seoul, Melbourne, and Rome, alongside several other cities.
A further set of flights is listed for March 13.
“Temporary operating corridors allow select flights in the coming days to support passengers affected by regional disruptions,” the airline said in a statement posted on X late Tuesday.
The announcement comes as Iran’s retaliatory strikes continue to affect Gulf airspace, with the limited schedule falling short of a full operational restart. Qatar Airways made clear the resumption is partial, urging passengers not to proceed to the airport unless they hold a confirmed ticket for a listed flight.
Travellers with confirmed bookings issued between February 28 and March 22 are entitled to two complimentary date changes of up to 14 days from the original travel date, or may opt for a full refund on unused tickets. Booking inquiries can be directed to the Qatar Airways website, its mobile application, or through a travel agent.
The airline stated that crew and passenger safety remain its overriding operational consideration as it navigates a situation it described as beyond its control.
