Free birth and marriage certificates available to women at select Metro Manila outlets this month

Several Civil Registry System locations across the capital region are offering women complimentary copies of either a birth certificate or a marriage certificate on designated Mondays throughout March, with each site serving a limited number of walk-ins on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Philippine Statistics Authority’s Civil Registration Service is behind the initiative, tying it to the national observance of Women’s Month. The agency posted details of the program on Facebook on March 5, noting that a valid ID is required and that each woman may claim only one free document.

Six outlets spread across Metro Manila are participating on staggered dates: Caloocan and Muntinlupa on March 9, Makati on March 16, the Bagong Pilipinas eSerbisyo Hub in San Juan City and ParaƱaque on March 23, and Valenzuela on March 30. The Quezon City Central Outlet kicked off the schedule on March 2. Most locations are capping the freebie at 100 recipients, though the San Juan City hub is limited to 20.

Separately, a Civil Registration and National ID caravan has been set for March 27 in Barangay Kaybanban, San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, where women can access free Philippine National ID registration and validation services, among other offerings. Appointments can be booked through the PSA’s online portal ahead of visits to participating outlets.
