Travellers holding Emirates bookings have been told not to show up at Dubai International Airport unless they receive direct confirmation from the carrier, as the airline continues to navigate widespread airspace restrictions across the region.
A spokesman said: “All scheduled Emirates flights to and from Dubai remain suspended until 11.59pm UAE time on March 4, due to airspace closures across the region.”
The suspension means no regular departures or arrivals will operate from DXB until one minute before midnight on Wednesday. A small number of repatriation services for stranded passengers, along with cargo operations, are running on Tuesday and Wednesday, though these are strictly limited.
“We are accommodating customers with earlier bookings as a priority on these limited flights. Please do not go to the airport unless you have been notified directly by Emirates, or hold a confirmed booking for these flights,” the spokesman added.
Those whose original travel dates fell earlier in the disruption window are being given first access to seats on the repatriation flights, with the airline reaching out to eligible passengers individually.
For anyone whose plans have been upended, Emirates is offering two options: rebooking onto another flight departing on or before March 20, or submitting a refund request. Passengers who purchased tickets through a travel agent are being directed back to their agent to process either option, while those who booked directly with the airline can handle changes online.
The carrier, the world’s largest international airline, said it is continuously reassessing conditions and will adjust its operational schedule as the situation develops.
“Customers are advised to check flight status, review the latest operational updates on emirates.com, and check their email for any notifications about changes or cancellations to their flights before travelling to the airport,” the spokesman said.
