A drone attack on Kuwait International Airport left several workers with minor injuries and caused limited structural damage to the facility’s Terminal 1 passenger building, the country’s aviation authority announced.
Abdullah Al-Rajhi, official spokesperson for the General Authority of Civil Aviation, confirmed the incident and said emergency response teams were activated immediately. Damage assessment, medical treatment for the injured, and operational reorganization are all actively underway, he said, with the authority emphasizing that work is being conducted “in accordance with the highest safety standards.”
Al-Rajhi described the overall situation as fully contained, stating that “the safety of passengers and workers represents the utmost priority” for the concerned authorities managing the response.
The attack did not prompt a full airport shutdown, and the authority indicated that the relevant state bodies have the situation under complete control.
