The Qatari Armed Forces have successfully defeated a second wave of missile attacks aimed at multiple locations within the country, the Ministry of Defence announced Saturday, crediting coordinated action between military and security agencies for preventing any projectiles from reaching Qatari soil.
The ministry, in a statement distributed through the Qatar News Agency, said threats were neutralized the moment they were detected and that responses followed a pre-established security protocol. Officials emphasized that the country’s defensive capabilities are sufficient to counter any external aggression.
The attacks follow US and Israeli strikes on Iran. President Donald Trump confirmed that “major combat operations” are under way.
Qatar’s military declared the security situation stable and fully under control, and said it stands prepared to respond decisively to further threats.
