A warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court of Parañaque, Branch 294, led to the arrest of vlogger Norman Mangusin, more widely recognized online as Francis Leo Marcos. He was taken into custody at a hotel by operatives from the Philippine National Police–Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, according to NAPOLCOM Commissioner Ralph Calinisan.
Mangusin is facing a charge related to the alleged unauthorized wearing of a Philippine National Police uniform. Authorities have not publicly detailed the circumstances surrounding the incident beyond confirming the existence of the court-issued warrant.
The online personality first gained national attention in 2020 through widely shared social media videos that showed him distributing money to families in need. Presenting himself as a wealthy entrepreneur and benefactor, he amassed a significant following within a short period.
Public scrutiny intensified after questions surfaced regarding his claims about his financial background and an alleged connection to the Marcos political clan, which has not been substantiated. In the same year, he was previously taken into custody over fraud-related accusations tied to alleged misrepresentation of identity and status.
