Free chemotherapy centers open in Pampanga’s San Fernando and Guagua

Cancer patients in Pampanga now have two additional facilities where they can receive chemotherapy at no cost, following the launch of Beacon of Hope branches in the cities of San Fernando and Guagua on February 19, 2026.

The newly opened centers are designed to make cancer treatment more accessible to families across the province, particularly those relying on PhilHealth coverage. Services include consultations with licensed oncologists, free chemotherapy sessions, and patient education initiatives aimed at guiding individuals and their families through diagnosis and treatment.

Behind the expansion is We Hope Medical Group, which has been building specialized healthcare facilities in partnership with local government units. Its projects span chemotherapy centers, eye clinics, dialysis facilities, diagnostic laboratories, physical and occupational therapy rehabilitation hubs, and addiction recovery centers.

“Beacon of Hope represents our commitment to uplifting communities through accessible and free dignified healthcare. By opening branches in San Fernando and Guagua, we are strengthening our promise to deliver medical services that empower patients and support healthier futures for Kapampangans.” said Dr. John Paul Aclan, Chairman and CEO of We Hope Medical Group.

According to the group, the facilities are structured to go beyond clinical procedures. Each branch is staffed by licensed medical professionals trained to provide care anchored on respect, empathy, and clinical standards. The approach integrates medical treatment with emotional and social support, reflecting a broader view of patient well-being.

The centers are intended to function as community-based treatment hubs where patients can access chemotherapy without the added burden of high out-of-pocket expenses. Health education programs are also part of the services offered, equipping families with information about treatment plans, side effects, and long-term wellness strategies.

The establishment of the San Fernando and Guagua branches forms part of a wider effort to decentralize cancer care within Pampanga. By situating facilities closer to communities, the initiative aims to reduce travel time for patients and encourage early and consistent treatment.

Both branches are now operational and accepting patients eligible for PhilHealth-covered chemotherapy services.
