GCash has partnered with Philippine Airlines (PAL) to offer a special promotion for its users. Travelers can enjoy a 20 percent discount on PAL flights when they book their tickets using GCash. This promotion is available for select local and Asian destinations and is valid from November 18 until January 2024.
Customers can avail of the discount by booking their flights on selected weekends during the promo period. The offer covers flights to various destinations in Southeast Asia and selected locations in Asia, with the travel period extending until the end of 2024.
This initiative is part of a strategy to boost the travel industry’s recovery by providing competitive pricing and seat availability to GCash users. PAL has been on an upward trajectory, recording a P13.6 billion net income in the first half of 2023, with an optimistic outlook from its president, Captain Stanley K. Ng, who anticipates a return to pre-pandemic profit levels by 2025.
In addition to the promo, PAL has been expanding its reach by reopening more domestic routes previously suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
