No QR code, no entry as all slots fill up for free Dubai Filipino concert

Organizers of Konsyerto Para sa Filipino have announced that all QR codes required for entry to the free concert in Dubai have already been claimed, effectively closing admission ahead of the event scheduled for January 10. The update was issued by the Metro Manila Film Festival following strong public response from the Filipino community in the UAE.

In an advisory posted on MMFF’s official channels, organizers thanked supporters for what they described as overwhelming participation, while stressing that entry to the venue will be strictly regulated. Attendees without a valid QR code will not be allowed inside the concert grounds, even as the event remains free of charge.

The concert is set to take place at the Dubai Exhibition Center, with South Halls 15 and 17 designated as the venue. The show is part of MMFF’s post-festival activities in the Middle East and follows a series of fan engagements held in Dubai, including a well-attended meet-and-greet at the DSF Al Rigga Night Market that drew large crowds of overseas Filipinos.

Konsyerto Para sa Filipino features performances by Bamboo, Sofronio Vasquez, and Morissette, with appearances by John Arcilla, Enchong Dee, MJ Lastimosa, and other stars associated with MMFF 2025 film entries. The lineup and limited access system reflect heightened interest surrounding the festival’s outreach event, which extends the MMFF presence beyond the Philippines and into the Filipino diaspora in the region.
