Batang PBA Middle East has confirmed the schedule for its first regional youth basketball tournament, marking a major step in the program’s expansion beyond the Philippines. The three-day event is set to take place from February 6 to 8, 2026, bringing together young Filipino players from across the Middle East under the Batang PBA banner.
The tournament follows the official launch of Batang PBA Middle East, which was introduced during a press conference in Bahrain late last year. Organizers positioned the Middle East edition as a platform created specifically for overseas Filipino youth, offering structured competition and exposure comparable to professionally run grassroots programs in the Philippines.
Aligned with the Philippine Basketball Association’s 50th anniversary, the Middle East staging reflects Batang PBA’s broader push to reach Filipino communities abroad. The program is designed to address limited opportunities for young players outside the country by providing a setting where they can compete, develop their skills, and gain regional experience.
Organizers have opened registration for participating teams and are extending invitations to youth basketball squads across the Gulf region.
