Christmas spirit arrived early in Dubai as the Pinas Group of Companies kicked off the season with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting held last November 23. Standing tall at 15 feet, the majestic Christmas tree is adorned with the logos of various merchant and organization partners—each contributing Noche Buena packages and gift vouchers that will be shared with Pinas Group’s loyal customers. This meaningful initiative has been a cherished tradition of the company for the past four years.
The celebration featured several community-centered activities, beginning with a Medical Mission offering free eye tests, sugar tests, and blood pressure checks. Laughter filled the venue during the lively parlor games, made even more exciting with prizes generously provided by sponsors.
The highlight of the occasion came toward the end with the official lighting of the Christmas tree, accompanied by the enchanting voices of the St. Mary’s Filipino Community Choir, serenading attendees with beloved Christmas carols.
One of the most heartfelt segments of the event was the “Wish Upon a Christmas Tree.” Participants wrote their Christmas wishes on paper, placed them inside small socks, and hung them on the tree—a long-time Filipino tradition rooted in hope and faith. This year, the tradition becomes even more special as Ms. Marlyn Castro, CEO of Pinas Group, will personally select three wishes to grant, exemplifying generosity and the true spirit of giving.
The celebration will continue on December 21, when the collected Noche Buena packages and gift vouchers will be raffled and awarded during Pinas Group’s Christmas Party—spreading joy and blessings to the community it faithfully serves.
