OWWA Kuwait confirms approval of over 10,000 E-Card applications for OFWs

More than ten thousand Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Kuwait have cleared the approval stage for their OWWA E-Card requests, according to the latest advisory from the OWWA-OWO Kuwait office. The update marks one of the largest batches processed for Filipino workers in the Gulf state.

The agency said a total of 10,664 E-Card applications from Kuwait-based OFWs are now ready for release. The office highlighted that the cards will be distributed following a first-come, first-served system, ensuring that claimants who submitted early will be accommodated ahead of later applicants.

OWWA officials also noted that the distribution schedule and the reopening of the online link for the next round of applications will be announced separately. Workers were encouraged to monitor upcoming updates as preparations for the next phase continue.

In its advisory, the Kuwait office expressed appreciation to OFWs for their cooperation and patience, stating, “Maraming salamat sa inyong patuloy na suporta!” It also reiterated its guidance for claimants: “Susundin po natin ang sistemang first come, first served sa pag-claim o pag-release ng OWWA E-Cards.”

The OWWA E-Card serves as an identification and verification tool for active OWWA members, streamlining access to welfare programs, airport services, and government transactions both in the Philippines and abroad. The card remains a key requirement for many OWWA-led services, including repatriation assistance, training programs, and scholarship benefits for dependents.
